Welcome
Hi, I'm Brooke
My work spans both sides of the hiring process—from helping professionals navigate their careers to helping organizations make informed hiring decisions.
My perspective comes from my experience in recruiting as well as my own career journey. My path hasn’t been linear: I’ve been laid off, switched industries, changed careers, and reinvented myself more than once. Those experiences have given me firsthand understanding of the real challenges that come with navigating change.
My approach is practical and personalized. I help professionals recognize the value of their experience and communicate it effectively. I also partner with organizations to support employees through career transitions and help leaders build better hiring practices.
In addition to my work with Interview Ally, I'm proud to partner with Charitable Advisors to facilitate webinars and support job seekers across the Indiana nonprofit sector.

My Layoff Story
I lost my job during the height of a recession—a turning point that brought lots of uncertainty and self-doubt. I put everything I had into finding my next opportunity, but as the months passed, I questioned what I was doing wrong and whether I’d find another role.
Through trial and error—and countless interviews—I learned how to identify the most relevant parts of my experience and communicate it clearly. Over those eight months, I grew more confident in what I had to offer, and I eventually accepted a position as Executive Director at a local nonprofit, where I had the opportunity to draw on my diverse skills and experience.
Today, as the founder of Interview Ally, I draw on both my firsthand experience with job loss and my career in executive recruiting to support job seekers. I help candidates recognize the value of their experience and communicate it effectively throughout their job search.
